I had this happen on my 2000 vert once. I just played with the controls and soon both sides were back to ice cold. There were no codes listed on the DIC.. just my 2Cents worth.. mark
We discussed this topic just last week at one of our Corvette club gatherings. I was also thinking that if one side cooled and the other did not, then it was actuator doors. Two members of the club said that adding just a little freon fixed their problem.
Sorry to hijack this thread, but I figured since it pertained to A/C issues, it may be helpful so I put here. Question:
I recently put leak dye into my A/C system to see if there was a leak. Upon black light inspection, I could not find any leaks. However, after running the car for awhile, I've noticed green dye on the ground under the car. Could this be coming out with normal A/C condensation or is it a true indication there's a leak somewhere?

If you have a leak in the evaporator, the dye might be mixing with the condensation coming off the evaporator coil when it gets cold. It could be mixing with the condensation and then running on the ground.

And in that case you would have zero cooling as well as all the freon would have come out as well.
additional info: don't drive the car much-just noticed that the air is just a little cold on the drivers side while freezing on passenger side? What does this mean?
Same prob, cool on pass side only. Clearing the 0441 code which automatically recalibrated the actuator solved the problem. Cold all around now! Thanks Corvette Forum!!!
My 99 Vert was blowing cold out of the passenger vents and warm out of the drivers. I had the system purged and refilled and now its ice cold all vents.
When mine did that, I had to reset a fuse and the problem went away. I read it somewhere on some forum and then saw a service bullitin on it too. The stealer filled my freon and that did no good, but my problem was intermittent, not constant. I had to tell them how to fix it.
If you mean that the air blows hotter on the driver's side it could possibly be the A/C actuators need to be calibrated. Pull up your DIC and see if you have a history/current code B0361.
Check for codes. If you get the codes for a left side actuator not functioning, there is a post about recalibrating it. I did it in my car, and it was very difficult to get at the part. The process eliminated the code, but not the real issue. However, when I went to the dealer (the real problem with my vette was a leak near the compressor) they told me that there was a way to recalibrate the actuator WITHOUT removing it. I didn't ask since I already removed it and reset it, but you might inquire about this. Good luck.

Does the "recalibration of the actuator" only apply if you have the dual-zone adjustments on the climate control unit? Mine (a manual/analog, single-zone climate control unit) was doing this and adding a splash of freon fixed the problem. Just curious...
