If you mean that the air blows hotter on the driver's side it could possibly be the A/C actuators need to be calibrated. Pull up your DIC and see if you have a history/current code B0361.
My 99 Vert was blowing cold out of the passenger vents and warm out of the drivers. I had the system purged and refilled and now its ice cold all vents.

I had the same problem as well. I was told thaat it needed to be recalibrated. However at the same time I was having a problem with the positive post on the battery staying tight. Found out that thecomputer system was setting and re-setting itself as the post was hot then not. Once I got the post fixed the system has worked fine every since.
The total charge in the C5 is just a hair under 2 cans of freon. If you OVERCHARGE it will not cool properly. I just replaced the expansion orfice tube (about $2.50) in the high pressure side line, evacuated and recharged with 2 cans and it still wasn't cooling. Found that the vacuum check valve had a crack in it and my inside actuators weren't working. $3.44 at Advance in the help section to replace the valve.
My plastic vacuum lines had rotted out like MOST C5s with the Delco batteries and I replaced them about 2 years ago. Now on my 3rd check valve but it cools fine NOW. Goodluck BIGHANK
These suggestions to change the compressor or recharge the freon make no sense to me at all. Not saying you're wrong, or that these solutions didn't work, just that I don't understand how either of those could possibly fix the problem.
How would a bad compressor or low freon lead to cold air out of one duct and warm air out the other?!?

Low freon fixed mine.
Apparently since some C5 have the dual climate control the sides are separated, when low the drivers side is the one that fails to cool first.
If you have dual controls like on my 98 set the temp to 60 degrees and air on top vents and recirc. It should blow COLD air out of both sides since the pasanger control is inoperative at either min (60 degrees) or max (90 degrees). If the temps are different when you do this maybe an actuator is stuck. Make sure you have vacuum to the purple hose which feeds the vacuum actuator switch. If NOT then search on vacuum leaks and leaky battery and fix that first. BIGHANK
