You might want to check your battery. I had a marginal battery and different codes would show when I hadn't driven the car for a week or two. My battery had one weak cell, when I replaced the battery, the interrmitent problem was gone.
BTW, I love the grill work.
No,
On start up the car goes thru a self test cycle.
During that time if you drive other than in a straight line and the sensors detect some slippage in one of the wheels you get the message while it is trying to complete its iniitation. Once it has concluded that the signal it sensed is not a sensor fault it then gives a warm-up complete message.

Nothing to worry about. Here's what my owner's manual says about that message:
When you first start your vehicle (especially during cold winter weather), and begin to drive away (up to 6 mph), the message ACT HNDLG - WARMING UP may be displayed in the DIC, the instrument panel cluster light will be on, and a chime will sound. This is normal. You can acknowledge this message by pressing the RESET button. The Active Handling System performance is affected until the next message WARM UP COMPLETE is displayed in the DIC.
Under cold weather conditions, this message may continue up to 12 mph for 30 seconds. The Active Handling system is off until the WARM UP COMPLETE message is displayed.
While it specifically mentions cold weather as a time when this message can appear, it can also appear in warm weather. My '99 had active handling on it and the message popped up on it a number of times.

I'll vouch for that! Every day I pull out of my driveway taking a right 90 degree turn and I get the AH "warming up" chime every time, even if it's 90 degrees out. I have an '04 and a new battery to boot!
Thanks for this detailed answer...........you guys are GREAT!
Thanks again, Tom.
