Default Work and Vettes

I probably spend to much time on this forum. I really am getting into it. The 5 other guys in my room aren't really car nuts so seeing corvettes all day seems to be getting to them. I can't get enough. I love this forum. There is always something new to read about.

Today I got to do some fun work in the office. i may have caught it on video. Then it was back to the forum!!!! Thanks for the time killer guys!!!!

Sorry my post isn't CRAZY corvette related. I do stay on the Forum about 1/2 the day though. Nothing kills time better than a hobbie!!!!

When I was in the Navy,, all the weapons department personnel got to go to an EOD range and practice placing a C4 charges. We all got a baseball size hunk of C4, a 4 foot length of fuse, a detonator and mechanical match.

We all had to attach the fuse to the detonator then the match, poke a hole in the C4. (not too deep ) and insert the detonator in the C4. We all got in a LARGE circle and one at a time popped the match.

Then we went to the bunker and waited for the BOOOOOMs! As we were waiting in the bunker the Range Safety Officer stated. "Oh,, by the way, any bodies charge that doesn't detonate, owes us a six pack!"

Man, its impressive to hear 25 LOUD explosions going off one right after the other!

Only ONE charge didn't go off! Yep,,, the guy paid up!

C4 is some really cool stuff! You can whack it with a hammer, smash it flat, burn it and run it over with a tank and it wont go off. Just don't eat it!

I spend a LOT of the day (when we are not busy fixing Submarines, on the forum also! Makes the day go by really fast!!

Default Sweet!!!

Yeah I have worked with explosives for alittle over two years. During school and with this deployment. You forgot that you can shoot C-4 too. But it will be a bad day if you decide to do any of those things at the same time.... heat shock and friction makes BOOM!!! haha

I really enjoy my job, I wish it didn't keep me from my wife and my new Z06!!!! I have learned a hell of alot from the few months I have been a member. I don't have much corvette knowledge to put out there, but I try. I am a pretty good mechanic in my own right so hopefully I can contribute more than a video of my job!!!!

Hey Thanks alot for the offer. I have never been that far north, I was up in Balad for awhile but Mosul is pretty far up there I think. I hope he is being safe up there. Baghdad is pretty cool to see. Its nothing like the farm land you see everywhere else.

Its sad to say but this place is pretty nice... except the war thing...

More and more of my modds are coming in!!! Hopefully my brother will install them and send pictures. I will be posting them all!!!!
