most ive ever gotten into my 98 after clearing the low fuel warnings several times is 17gallons

yea, i can run mine "dry" and i get 16.5 gal or so. i have run other cars out of gas but i wonder what would happen if i ran my corvette dry. how hard would it be to stop, turn and reprime?

ye jes turn tha key ta tha start, an let er set fer a minute afore ya hits tha starter. tha fuel inj. don't need no prime. jes give tha pump time ta pressureize tha fuel rails.

I've driven my 99 Coupe untill the low fuel indicator has chimed 3 times at me, and it still didn't take more than 17.5 gallons

I know my '97 is supposed to hold 19.1 gallons, but when it gets down around 1/4 full, I fill 'er up. Just don't trust these fuel guages on these C5's.

PS I've never run out of gas in my life.
