Speed Bumps and Your C5.....?
No, this is not an infomercial....
Just wondering, can a stock C5, any year, go over a speed buymp safely? Or is it really close that you just shouldn't bother with it?
Also, how low can a C5 be lowered till its dangerous?
TIA
-Note, i hope everyone knows now that i'm the crazy kid that doesn't know a thing about what i'm saying....

I have gone over a lot of speed bumps with the C5. All you need to do is go slow and at an angle if possible.

My C5 is stock height and tires, no problems, but do go slow.

I have to go over at least 2 speed bumps every time I go home. I'm at stock height and stock tire sizes. Go at an angle if possible, but head-on, you need to slow to around 10mph so that the air dam doesn't scrape... Your speed will vary since all speed bumps are different.

I agree, this pertains to ALL Corvettes!! Oh and by the way, watch those railroad tracks as well.

Well on the surface this seems to be a silly question but... I was driving through a pretty nice housing developement last month, found some ridiculously high speed bumps and became very frightened. I had to come to a stop and roll over them but one caught me by surprise and some terrible noises were spawned from the underside of my car. Not nice.

My car is lowered 2 inches and I have a chin spoiler. Sometimes I scrape the bottom of my car. So what. These shoes were made for walking.
It's like when I was a kid. Nobody wanted to play with a new baseball cause it would get dirty. Play ball !

I don't know if they would make a mass produced car that couldn't safely go over a normal speed bump. I go over two everyday going in and out of the garage I work at.

I don't have too much trouble but I'm at stock height. I just take them really slow and most times the air dam doesn't scrape.
The speed ramps at Nellis AFB were so big they were frightening. Now those could take off the undertray at anything above 2 knots.
