Neccessary burnout
We are grandparents were baby sitting going to take kids out in daughters car with car seats
They have short driveway slight slope to street
I had moved my Vette was waiting for wife to back out was going to put Vette in drive way
I see backup lights but daughters H3 is not moving WTF
So I pull up in street behind H3 wife out of H3 tells me cant get brake off before I can get my mind around it wife finds release H3 starts back toward side of Vette
Everything went surreal I see wife jump in H3 and next thing I know I have dropped clutch and left two 20+ feet of burnout
It was perfect if I had been trying I would have choked out overreved etc.
This story could have had some wery sad endings only good thing kids were nefer in danger H3 would have hit me or oppisite curb about 25 feet away
Sometimes you get real lucky or some ONE is watching out for you
Now that's a great story demonstrating the quick thinking and driving abilities of Corvette owners!
Your quick thinking kept you from having one awful story to tell your insurance company. Come to think of it, they may not have been liable, since damage would have been self (insured) inflicted.
Insurance adusters, feel free to correct me on that if I am wrong.
