Default "where's My Flasher"

C5 2003.....i Decided To Change My Tail Lights With Led's But I Have To Change My Flasher To A Led Flasher. I Called The Dealership To Ask Where It Was Since I Didn't See It Under My Hood With My Other Fuses. They Told Me It's Under The Dash Connected With My Hazard Switch. There Has To Be An Easier Way To Get To It????? Anyone Know??

You can’t replace the flasher with an LED one because the hazards flasher is built in and so is the switch. You can by pass the flasher with a LED flasher for just the turn signals. Do a search on here to see the write up on how to do it, it is not that hard to splice in and you don’t have to take the dash apart.
BTW the LED rear tail lights should have a built in load resistor, I never had an issue with mine. I only splice in the flasher when I changed the front bulbs to LEDs.

The flasher unit is built into the hazard warning switch.

I have LED rears.
Only on a left turn while holding the brake, I sometimes get hyper flash

Can that screw something up that will cost me big bucks?

No, the hyperflash is a feature built in to the flasher to indicate that filament bulb is out. The LEDs draw very little current and the flasher thinks there is a bulb out.

Just ordered the lights and flasher for mine. Hope it solves the hyperflashing problem.

Can this be used as a replacement for the OEM one on stock lights?

Objective - instead of removing heaven and earth to replace the stock (OEM) flasher unit - install this one instead

yes, this one bypasses the stock flasher, you won't ever hear it again unless you press in the hazard switch.

the flasher i now have sounds more "upscale" or "classy" if you will, than the OEM click-clack flasher...i like it.
