Power seats -
My new C5 arrived a couple of days ago. I am in Australia and it will be converted to RHD.
THe problem is that only the drivers seat has power controls. If I swap the seats over to the other side, the controls will be on the wrong side of the seat.
Can I buy the parts to add the power options to the current passenger seat so both seats will have power or is it easier to buy a seat with those options already. Remember I have to ship a seat a long way so adding parts may be easier.

I don't see why you couldn't swap the parts. My passenger seat is a power seat as well, and identical to my drivers seat. The only difference is the buttons are on opposite sides.
I suppose you could swap the seats, then swap the controls from left side to right on the new "driver's seat". Then your right hand drive will have the seat with all the motors in it. Then find some kind of extension for the cable to run it back to the US drivers side connnection... unless there is already a OEM location to connect to on the passenger side. It may be there because as I mentioned, both my seats are powered.

Thanks for the info. I will take a look tomorrow to see if the wiring is already in place on the passenger side. If it is I will pull the seat and see if they can be swapped over and if the switches/controls can be moved to the other side of the seat so they will be on the outside.

Mine has the power controls mounted correctly on the outside of the seat so the parts are definitely available. I've got a wiring diagram for the passenger seat schematic. PM me with your e mail and I'll send it on.
I'll be interested to hear your stories as the tackle the conversion. Maybe you can start up a thread and talk us through it. We have no problems with running LHD cars here in England but its always interesting seeing the conversions.
