My turn signals will quit working for no apparent reason. However if I turn on the hazard lights for just a second, the turn signals will work again. Then a few months later, it happens again. I said this was wierd ...

The hazzard switch is dirty. Its sealed and can not be cleaned. Cycling the switch on and off a bunch of times will resolve the problem for a while. Sooner or later it will probably need to be changed.
