I had not seen that model Corvette previously... I thought I knew all of them going back to the early 50's. You did a great job in restoring it...
Schwinn made a Corvette from the mid fifties until the mid sixties. Later they made the 'stingrays' a more chopped looking bike with smaller wheels and high rise handle bars. They also made a Jaguar model. google Schwinn Corvette if you get a chance. The bikes and tires are actually date coded. The manufature date is stamped on the frame where the rear hub attaches.
The wheels also have a stamping (S-7) to indicate style and model.
Thewe bikes make a cool addition to a garage containing a vette or two...
