Some more great comments, thanks everyone. Yes my car has 10,500 miles right now and I don't plan to do any modding. I just bought the car and it is now a daily driver. I have hard a time releasing the greenbacks back into the wild, but I am going to pickup the warranty. Better be safe than sorry I guess.

I purchased a GMPP 4yr, 40K mile extended warranty with $200 Ded for my '03 Z06. It has already paid for itself and will continue to do so. GET IT before the price goes up. I just wait until I have two things and they only charge the $200 once. Lots of threads on all the Vette sites.

I was leaning towards the $100 or $200 deductible too, save some money now but if it gets really expensive you're still covered for the most part.

I just bought one from someone in Mass.
A good deal.
His name is Patrick Fonti and his # is 877-733-7832.
Tell him you got his name from me, Steven Garry. And no, I am not the one selling them.
I hope this is ok to post.

When you guys say it "pays for itself" is that at dealer prices?
For Example if you cracked a rim you can get one for $100 vs $800 dealer list

And an EBCM module is $150 to fix vs the $1600 that the dealer charges...

I had considered that, but still decided I'd get one to be on the safe side given the prices Dennis had. Unless the transmission goes or something it will probably not pay for itself at regular repair costs, but it is easy to take it to one place everytime and/or not have to trouble shoot and fix it yourself.

I just talked to my dealer last week about my GMPP replacing a polished thin spoke that cracked and was told it wasn't covered so I called GMPP and was told the same thing. I even quoted the service bulletin on the wheels and was told they would only replace under original factory warranty. Being as though virtually all C5s are out of the factory warranty period I guess they're home free now on having to replace the thin spokes.

I bought the same policy for the same reason; peace of mind.
I didn't have an extended warranty on my 91 and wound up letting things slide instead of repairing them. The peace of mind for the big repair bills and the ability to get full enjoyment of all things as they should be without getting nickled and dimed is worth the premium.

Default GMPP cover our headlight actuators?

Wife and I purchased an 02 mag red/oak vert Sat Sept 22. We purchased a 3 year GMPP and have been loving the Sunny weather and top down (first time owners) since.

Well from what I've researched here tonight I'm seeing ditto, ditto, ditto.

Late this afternoon we started the car in the garage & the lights pop up, ok...cool, I'm new here...we back vert out of the garage and don't need the lights on, so I do a manual off on the headlamps and get a grinding noise after driver lamp closed (Yikks from both my wifey and I).....we drove vert back into garage and took the honda . But before we left, I had to leave the lights up (parking lights now on) for 2 hours while we were gone because I had to leave 'm u to keep 'm from grinding...and we had to leave so I did not have time to research the fuses and manual down...hey it only has 27K on it...this should not have these problems at 27K...got a deal on the unit from a far away dealer and I know they're going to thumb their nose at me on this.

Needless to say, after we got back I had a weak batt & dim taillights. For a short term fix, I pulled fuse 3 and manually cranked (took rubber cover off manual with hood up) the driver side headlamp down...now I've got the batt. on trickle charge so I can take it to the local dealer in the morning IF, IF the GMPP will cover those fickle/loose actuators...if not, I'll get the brass gears $85 pair & do 'm my self (also know to pound the tabs down on the housing so motor is not loose to worm gear...from reading this great forum)

But as asked in subject line, will GMPP cover these flaw'd C5 light actuators? (wife was loving the vert all last week as she drove it to work every day...and now this ...her/our fun ride has suddenly dropped a knotch in the reliability dept.)
