Default Cat-Back Systems

Anyone have the Magnaflow Catback w/ x-pipe? If so, how's the sound, (any drone, etc.), I'm debating between this and the Corsa Pace Car system but am really not familiar w/ either.

Any info and suggestions would be greatly appreciated from you "vettemen".

I also plan on installing a Vararam Cold Air unit also.

Thanks Guys!!

This thread has a pretty good review of Magnaflow.

I have the Corsa Touring catback, ZERO Droan and plenty load and plenty loud when you punch it. I am installing longtube headers w/ x-pipe which will increase the volume quite a bit. If you are going to add headers someday you should keep that in mind in selecting your catback!

I have the magnaflow 15660 which is the catback and the x pipe you are debating to get.

first and foremost,if you are looking for a louder setup then stock, then this exhaust system is not for you.In other words, this is not the exhaust that goes "bum bum bum bum bum bum" at idle.I read a review on a site and they had one word that summed up this system and it is entirely true: "Authoritative. You know just by the sound that it's a car you don't mess with."(www.vetteweb.com)

At idle, the exhaust is not necessarily "louder" than stock but it has a very rich, deep tone throughout the whole RPM range.500-2500 RPMs is where it sounds badass. To this day,I still turn down the radio when I accelerate from 500-2500 just so I can hear the exhaust note and best of all,no drone. Also one of the things that sold me on this exhaust is the look from behind. In my honest opinion the tips and the exhaust connector plate is what does it for me.The connector plate is not put on with double sided tape like the enhancer plates that are available but actually links both mufflers together.

At Wide open throttle,I find it to be a bit lacking from the drivers seat, though I know people around me are "holy sh*t" when you step on it.I just wish it would sound a bit more "lively" like a vehicle with a cam/header job but thats the trade off you make from buying a exhaust w/ mufflers.

Pics of my corvette with that system.
