Is it a good or bad idea to silicone an engine for show?

I'm assuming you mean silicone spray. I don't see anything wrong with it. I think it enhances the looks of an engine bay. Why do you ask?

Silicone is always best when used for show, very functional too... who cares if it's fake? It's on my wife-mods list. Wait... engines?

I ask because I'm getting ready to do Super Run this weekend with my 82. I have sprayed my 98 but not this car yet.

Adams In&Out Spray will accomplish the same look but not be greesy or attract as much dirt. Plus its water based so if it gets on paint or polished parts, it just wipes right off.
