Almost time to put new tires on the 2000 coupe. I have Pirelli Neros non run flat on it now and they have been better than the Factory Run Flats. Retirement income does not go as far and noticed pretty good reviews for this tire. Tire Rack has a great price. Has anyone had personal experience with this tire.
Thanks for the help.

I just put a set on and like them. The ride is better than the Firestone run flats that I had on which were way better than the GY RF's. Haven't tried any really aggressive driving with them as yet, but they seem to hold good..
Mike, I have a set on my 99' and I like them a lot. My neighbor has a 00' vette and opted for a more expenspive tire. I let him drive mine with the Generals on it and he is kicking himself in the rear. He could taken the extra money that he spent and given it to the mod Gods. I hope tis helps. Good Luck...
You should also check out the KUHMO and Falken tires both have very good reviews. I have KUHMO's on mine, extremely quiet and grip really nice. You don't have to pay a fortune for good tires. I looked into the Generals when I was shopping but tirerack was sold out, or I may have bought them.
If you are on an extremely limited budget and don't want to drive a Kia, try the AVON Tech 500 tires - better than Kumhos and General and made in Ohio. While none of these tires are nearly as good as say, the Goodyear GSD3 or BF Goodrich KD-2 class of tires, they are fine for average driving.
Been running General Exclaims since January in rain and dry. I like the ride, and because of the 380 treadwear rating, expect a lot of miles. I have put over 10,000 miles on them, and they still look new.
I put a pair if them on the rear of mine a few months ago (fronts still had way too much tread to replace them at the time) and I have no complaints. Getting great tread wear even with aggresive driving and they have a good ride to them. (took the Vette from Fl to the Corvette Museum in Ky the weekend I put the tires on, lol) So far it's a great tire, especially for the price!

I'm going to carry air pump and plug kit. Sensor will let you know when you are loosing air. For a blow out too bad. I was left 900 miles away with leaking gas tank so there are a lot of things that will strand you.
I had them on my Saab before I sold it and my mom had them on her Mustang GT. They were GREAT tires. They wore great and handled the road even better. I would highly recommend them.
Pray! lol. I have roadside assistance if I need it. Knock on wood that I don't have one but My wife is always around too and she's really really good friends with the owners of one of the tire shops here too so that helps.
Rated #1 on the Tire Rack survey. Did some research on google and the majority of people who own them - approve - and would buy them again. Sound like a great inexpensive tire for daily driving purposes.
