Has anyone gone to the Eureka Springs event in October? my wife and myself and friends are heading their on Thursday October 4, 07. I know the event starts on Thursday but we can't leave until we all get off work late Thursday. Any good places to eat, to avoid. Any help is greatly appreciated.

This will be my first time going to the event as well. If you've never been to Eureka Springs, it will be a sight to see. It's one of those historic, artsy, hippie towns stuck up in the Ozark Mountains! I hear they are expecting around 1,000 Corvettes this year. As far as eating goes, I would recommend Gaskin's Cabin Steakhouse. They have great steaks!

BTW, it's AR...haha

My wife and I will be there, but we won't arrive until Friday. We plan on going to the car show Saturday morning and the Poker Run Saturday afternoon.

Hope you already have reservations

The event is awesome - Vettes parked everywhere around the 'square'.

Much to do (eating and all).

Enjoy.

We have a timeshare that we can use anywhere. So we will be staying there. Looking forward to the poker run.

Thanks for the info. I went on the thread and I see that they don't take reservations and they only have 75 seats. Looks like a long wait.

Well, I've never been there during a very busy time, so I can't speak on that. If you can get seated in a reasonable time, it's definitely worth the wait though.

Man, can't wait..... greatest gathering there is!! The Navigator and I will be there Wednesday night.

There is a place on the west side of town on Hwy 62 that serves great German food. You're a short run from the shows at Branson, Mo. and Bill Wilson's fantastic custom .45 shop and gun museum is at Berryville.

They have a nice long poker run--that always goes over 1-lane Beaver Bridge-- and a long gas mileage run. The Midnight Cruise is fun too. A good cruise is out to War Eagle Mill. They have always had departing cruises headed north and south on Sunday. Last year's southern run was 120 miles to Blanchard Springs Cavern in the Ozark Nation Forest. We love the cruising they do!

The town will be full of Vettes... and probably half won't pay the registration to help make it possible.

YeeeeHaaaaaaaaaaaa......

I'm looking forward to this also. There is always a nice turnout of vettes and not to mention probably one of the better vette shows too.

It's always a fun time. We will be running the autocross on Thursday as always.

More vettes than you can count. I think there were 800 in car show last year.

I was on the Eureka Springs website and the Midnight Cruise has been cancelled do to wrecks and booze. I was looking forward doing that cruise. I guess some people just ruin it for others.

I personally have not been to the event, but I have talked to a lot of local people that have. The weekend is a blast - lots of things to do and many, many Vettes to drool over.
