Hey, last night my "service active handling message" came on and the active handling light was also one. I was on the highway so I waited until I got back home which was about 5o minutes. However, since I have shut the car off and turned it back on the message hasn't showed up. Does anybody know what could have happened?? Ialso have my active handling warm up occasionally come on but I think that is normal.
Thanks
You need to display any DTC information on the DIC and then post it in this thread. There are a thousand things that it could be, the DTC info will narrow it down to only one or two.
If you don't know how to display the DTC data go here ....
I had kinda the same story in my 03 and by the next day codes were gone and have never come back since....Dont worry about the active handling warming up though that is normal and shouldn't be a problem just know that it wont be working for that short period of warming up time...Mine has done this quite often

A DTC will not be gone "the next day" ... most DTC, once they set, will remain in the PCM (and other computers) indefinately. They may change from, say a P0300C to a P0300H (The last letter denotes whether the problem is Current or History) if the problem is intermittent, but only in a few cases will they eventually be deleted, and that usually takes something like 40 or 50 drive cycles without a problem for them to clear. The DTC are stored in non-volatile memory, so even disconnecting the battery will not delete a DTC. Most DTC have to be manually erased either through the use of a scan tool or through the DIC.
