Default Seat disassembly

I have to get part of the driver seat repaired (where it rubs on entry and exit) on the edge of the back.
Can I remove just the back section of the seat while it is still in place (so I only have to take that part to the upholsterers shop) or is it easier to remove the whole seat from the car.
(I am waiting for my workshop manual to arrive).
Thanks

Remove the seat first. Easy to do.

The seat comes out really easily. Four bolts and a connector.

The Vette Essentials site has a great step by step guide
