Head Light Opinion
Wanna ask for you opinion regarding the two Headlight sets that are made by "Specter Werkes". which would you think will look better on a Nassau blue 1998 Coupe.
This one:

Or this one:

i don't have experience with the non popup replacements. my opinions on them both are as follows.
the first set has exposed hardware screws that tend to make it look "unfinished". the 2nd set looks somewhat alien to me.
i believe both sets are amazingly difficult to install properly, based on what i've read on the forum. i have never installed them myself, so i cannot state this as a fact.
there is a 3rd set that is made by www.lewisfivemotorsports.com that you might want to look into. (i believe their website is down at the moment).
they claim that their projectors are an easy installation, and i don't think that they have exposed hardware.
as far as the HID side of it, you will most likely have to buy a 9006-based kit that most of the HID folks use for their stock housings. all 3 of these NPU kits will not be designed for the "cadillac" of HID bulbs the D1S.
headlights. As of April 2007, there are
seven automobile manufacturers using
HID-D1S bulbs. They include Audi, BMW,
Chevrolet, Chrysler, Porsche, and
Volkswagen.
you can get a D1S headlight kit for the C5, but not in the NPU look that you're going for. the 9006 HID kit should be just fine for your needs in any of the 3 kits that you go with.
be sure to check with other forum members who have done the NPU swap, i believe "omarcoolguy" had an HID kit with his NPU projectors before his car had a firey death.
