Posted thread a while back looking for a used tire. A guy pm'd me (without responding to the thread) one for a good price. I paid him and it was shipped. There was a confusion that he didn't ship it on time, but as it turns out it arrived in time. I took tire to get it mounted and it had a bubble on the interior so the tire shop would not mount it.
I'm only getting a 50% refund from the guy. Sound legit?
My .02, sounds to me like you're getting screwed out of half your money. I doubt the seller was aware of the defect, but that doesn't change the fact that you paid for a defective tire.

Post the link to the thread, and a copy of the PM. If there is additional correspondence between the two of you - post that also.
By doing so you'll be in line with Forum rules on the matter of 'bad transactions', as well as allowing the other party to respond (remember there are two sides to most stories).
you deserve your money back. sure, the guy might not have known, but that comes down to ethics. whether he has good or poor ethics will be shown soon. Good luck.
I haven't mentioned any names, so I'm not sure if those rules apply to this situation. I was looking for advice on what should be done. The correspondence is pretty ragged anyway. His keyboard must be broke or something. (It is that bad) Should I notify a moderator and present all the information to them?
Another thing I noticed is that the guy does primarily selling here on the forum. In fact I couldn't find a technical post of his other than to ask how to remove parts that he put up for sale here. I think he's running a business and is not a paid vendor. I know it doesn't change my situation, and we're not talking about a ton of money on my part anyway....but I still think it's pretty lame.

Don't feel like the Lone Ranger, I sold parts to a member but he didn't send payment. TODAY I received parts from a member and it was broke,(not from shipping). So I have sold my last part, bought my last part on this site!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
