I don't think there is a "BEST" per se....only what's best for you. Take a look at some of the members sigs to see their mods and dyno number and track times, then decide.
I did everything in my signature excpet for the exhaust in one shot.....you will need to upgrade the clutch as well when you do this swap the stock one will go out on u soon after....
Street car I got this car when i was 20 and the only thing i have done so far is exhasut B&B bullets when i get my head and cam kit should i just put some more money get headers and a intake i am looking to see 450 to 500 hopfully and will my stock clutch hold up and does anyone know of any good tuners around the denver CO area thanks guys
You'll want to find some people in your area w/ different cams so you can see what's for you... what you can "put up with". One persons idea of streetable might be very different than someone elses. Plus, it's all in the tuning. I installed my G5-X2 cam in January this year and had a ****ty tune as far as drivability. The car hated to hot start, had to be coaxed into an idle, hated stop/go traffic, and wouldn't idle w/ the AC on.
A few weeks ago I ponied up the dough to a top noth tuner who took a couple of days w/ the car to dial it in... it's amazing now. I left his shop w/ the windows up, AC on, and had to deal w/ bumper to bumper traffic on the way home. The car drove like stock... whereas before I'd have been having to work the clutch and blip the throttle to keep it in line and running.
If you want a potent package that'll make 470 rwhp+ go w/ a package from LGM w/ AFR 205's milled to 59cc and either a G5-X2 or X3 cam. Lots of good venders out there. ECS has a H/C package using TrickFlows making 500 rwhp NA.
A lot of the aftermarket heads/cams add power. I had the Cartek2x, would not use it again. My TFS/Comp Cam is a keeper.
As a side note, I'm sure you are aware the best mod is the tune itself. A good tune that is not hunting (fuel trims all over) is going to run harder in the long run.
NONE. I've got 36lb/hr inj, TFS, Long tubes, and cam on a 112. I get almost 21mpg in city. Have clocked 34mpg at cruise. My fuel trims are near zero. That is the trick. If your engine is tuned rich, you will get crappy gas mileage and performance will suffer.
These are not exagerated numbers. Can take a picture of DIC if you want.
427CPE is your car really loud i want mine to be alot louder than what it is. I have the bullets on but it is not close to being loud to me i want a big cam but i dont want it to sound like it is having problems running

Actually, its hard to believe. With cats on my car, its very close to stock sounding around town.
Last Sat, was at a local corvette shop. the guy there (mechanic/owner) asked if I wanted to put on long tubes? He had his hand over his ear listening to my car. He did not know I had an aftermarket exhaust.
The trick is I use cats and stock titanium pipes for quiet.
My 03 w/similar package was loud as "H***" with NO CATS and still had stock titanium. With bullets, 112 lobe, NO CATS ESPECIALLY, and long tubes, you are talking LOUD.
ECS Custom Cam with Trick Flow heads. ECS worked a long time on getting this combination right and with the proper supporting equipment people have netted over 500 at the rear wheels.

I disagree... my car is fully tuned the LTFTs are near zero, the car was tuned in SD mode, then the MAF table dialed in. I have 42lb injectors now and I see 16ish around town but will still see 27-28 highway w/ CC on.

Either way, I am still getting those numbers. Its just a great tune.
My highway mileage increased about 2-3 mpg, but the city mileage went down about the same amount. Higher compression helps, but it just feels/sounds so good, it's hard to granny drive around the city.
