pray it's not 2 a.m. in a driving thunderstorm in the middle of some desolate area........I dunno, don't need that grief so I hang with the emt's, never have had a perception of noise myself.
Get yourself a Continental inflator kit from Tire Rack. The goo will scrape off of the sensors when you get to the tire shop.....the kit is about $75 (or was last summer), and it fits great inside one of the small cubbyholes in the back, under the floor............

I have the Gm kit that comes w/ the Z06. Has same latex goo that "may" ruin your sensor but have read many post that confirm you can get the stuff off.

Or worst instead of desolate area, how about the worst part of town? Me too, I went with Michelin Pilot Sport A/S ZPs. No worries.

Recently I replaced the EMTs with GSD3s and the change in ride quietness is astounding. The smoothness was vastly improved as was anticipated but the quietness was a bonus I hadn't seen many people mention. Even in my cars that have a spare I've always carried a 12V pump and the highly reliable and quite permanent rope-type plug kit. I'd rather fix a flat tire while it's still on the car and be done with it. It has been about 35 years since I had a blowout and that was a defective tire.
Roger the pot holes. From what I can determine the really damaging ones are the result of winter conditions that we don't see much in the south. Whatever the cause, the pot holes I see in Florida are usually not very deep.
I don't drive my C5 that much. Without runflats is the way to go soo I try to stay in areas where I can call for help. My son is a mechanic that helps and I do have spares at home.
