Wow, didn't think this would cause a stir. lol. No I sold the Vette because I couldn't have it stored for 6 months out of the year. I didn't have a lined up storage spot anymore. And, I wont be paying more on the beamer because it has a 100k mile warranty along with the extra maintenece package I got.

I think your best course of action economically would have been to by a winter beater cheap ricer. Although I see your point on the storage problem. Nice car though. I just see a billion of them here in so cal.
Good Luck

what did you sell it for if you dont mind me asking and what kind of miles were on it when it sold? Nice choice on the 745 I always have respected german cars and always will but I always said a 745li will be my "daddy car" when some chick gets knocked up! lol

I have owned a few of BMW's over the years and think they are terrific cars. Our current car is an '06 525. My rule of thumb is NEVER keep them beyond the factory warranty. (Don't ask me how I know, it is still painful just to think about!!)

Sure the BMW can be driven all seasons,, but the repairs will be a killer. But what a great car... post a pic,, would love to see it !

Guys, again, repairs are not going to cost anything. I got a full warranty until 100k including maintenece. In two years when I have things figured out and my own place I will be buying another Corvette but this time a Z06, but until then I thought a BMW would be fun.

I know. Had a BMW before, and they seem to give quite a lot of trouble, and if you don't have a mechanic around, other than youself, you are pretty much screwed by going to the stealer to get it fixed, but I guess it's your money.
