What if your using your Vette as a DD? What kind of shifter would feel the smoothest?

I would try the anti-venom mod before spending $$s on shifters. I did the 2 washer mod with mine. For daily driving, it is much easier to shift now, but the feel is a lot different, but for $2 and 15 min - it was worth it.

BPP here. It's a great shifter, IMO.

I thought that we had settled this issue on here 1048 times. There is no correct answer. Everyone has a different opinion. I studied these responses for a couple weeks before I made my decision and went with the MGW. Not sorry, works great. I thought that I hated my stock shifter but when I went to install my MGW I pulled out a Hurst that a previous owner had installed. Therefore, I hated the Hurst.
We all agree that the stock sucks although some have cut an inch off it and swear by it. But anything is better than what came in it from GM.

Hurst set as light as possible with large steel ball is my choice. A friend has the c6 zo6 in his and that also is a improvement over the vague stocker.

I just put in my C6Z06 shifter today. Got rid of the piece of crap B&M ripper shifter...shifts are hard...going into Reverse is a job and driving overall is not fun. I daily drive mine and it drove me insance. I also had the Hurst before and was about just as impressed. Now went with the Z06 and man the shifts are smooth. Its featherlight to get in and out of gear and its short. Love it.

Have the B&M, shifts are stiff shich I am use to by now. I put a Hurst **** in it and the feel is more solid. If other guys like a certain set up and say it's good, I would try those first. I have not done the anti-venom mod, so maybe my shifter would be better if I did this.

I put the C6 Z06 shifter in my 2000 Convertible, and it shifts like butter, and I had the shifter handle shortened 1 inch, so it effectively shortened the throw too. I heartily recommend one!

I bought a Kirban from lingenfelter?and really love it. My brother drove mine and got one for himself. We both really like it but I might do the antivenom mod this winter just to see how it feels.Anything is better than stock.
