So, I was at Wally World getting some snacks, when I called my dad if he wanted something. The first hing he told me was that he had an accident, but then quickly said not with the vette...sort off. He told me he was getting the ladder when he accidentally knocked off one of the fire extinghuser and it exploded co2 all over the garage. Luckily, on a hunch, I put my cover on for the first time in 3 months last night! Talk about luck. My dad's vert was not so lucky, as it sprayed foam all over his hood and front end. it dried up into a dust so he just vacuumed it off and wash it off his ccar. Now, can the dried up c02 crystals damage his vert? how about the dust getting in his car through his vararam? We put like 10 coat of zaino over the spring and summer.
pics pics we want pics
glad to hear you covered it up
sorry for the misfortune
Dad was sooo mad he spent all day cleaning the garage and his car. He knocked the extinghuser off the top and luckily, it did not hit either car. The pin was knocked off when it hit the floor. when I came home, all I had to do was finish vacuuming the dried c02 and wipe off the dust from my car cover.
I worked with co2 for yeara in a de-flashing operation. Whats left IS NOT co2,,, carbon dioxide does not leave a residue when it evaporates. You have dry chemical particles left over. and yes, I believe,,it would be abrasive dust. Should not get thru the air cleaner though
CO2 is just carbon dioxide. They also make extinguishers with DRY CHEMICAL. Looks like baking powder and makes a large MESS. Mom used it in the kitchen many years ago to put out a grease fire. Clean up was a long slow process. Better than watching the house burn down. Hope you can get the stuff off with no real damage BIGHANK
That should teach you to go shopping at Wally World!! Hope everything goes well for you all. BTW, we have those fire extinguishers go off in our trucks all the time. They make a big mess but the good thing is you just spray the whole truck down.
