Ok, I know this irritates the Z06 guys cause they think their cars are the only ones that deserve badges. But lets see pics of Vettes with various badges, LS1, Z51, Lingenfelter, etc...

Hey! Thats not true. the only thing that irritates us is when people put Z06's on non Z06 cars.... I'll show an example of when I went to the west coast in a second ...

Just giving you guys a hard time. I don't mind badges, but my feeling is that if you are gonna talk the talk, you better walk the walk...ie, if it ain't true, don't badge it.

My badges do walk the walk and the reason for badges is I do not have to tell everyone that is really has 700+rwhp when they are looking over my setup

I'm a Z06 owner and here is my opinion... whether you want it or not . I think that aftermarket badges are perfectly fine on Vettes, the only ones that I don't personally understand are the ones that look just like a Z06 badge if you're more than a few inches away. If it is a 6,000 horsepower ZR-54 (before anybody gets upset... I know I made that one up) and you want to identify it as such then I say go ahead and do so. I just don't understand why you would make it look like a Z06 badge instead of something unique like the car itself.

FWIW- the ones that really bother me are the Z-28 Camaro badges that rip off the Z06 design. Some guy that lived next door to me for a while had them stuck on a V-6 Camaro and it made me want to slap the crap out of him.

I think those badges add real character to any C5. I want a set of the Z06 style badges which actually say "LS1" but they are too expensive!

You know, that's the way I feel about stickers on any car. When I bought my first new car, I would not sign the paperwork until the dealership went around and took all the emblems and stickers off the car, especially the damn sticker that advertised the dealership. They were pretty upset that I wanted all the emblems removed but the car had been radically redesigned and no one knew what it was when it first came out. I don't like badges breaking up the flow of the lines on a car. I guess it's just me.

Not just you, I debadge every car I've ever owned. The tailgate on my truck looked like a chrome billboard.

I will NEVER drive a car with a dealer advertisement on it.
