Default Window Valet, close call.

Went to a corvette car show in northwest Phoenix today. It was a nice 75 degrees so I had the top off (coupe). Pulled in and put the top on after I parked on the street with my windows half up. As I walked away I hit the remote 3 times and the windows started to go the rest of the way up. I didnt look back.
After an hour and a half I came back to my car to find both windows down and my radar detector and Ipod were.................still there.

Im glad that most corvette owners are honest.
Always do a lookback to make sure the windows are up.

I put stuff in people cars at corvette shows. I won a t shirt in a drawing at a corvette show and it was a c-4 shirt. I really did not know what to do with it so I found the same car that was on the shirt and left it on the drivers seat. I could not find the owner of the car so I figured they would not mind a free shirt of there car.

I have the Window Valet in my car also and I have learned to check and make sure the windows stay up, I have had the windows go up and right down , The doors stay locked. It must be a bug in the window valet. Glad your stuff was still there.

Its probably not a bug in the Valet. There is a window calibration mode that allows several settings of how much strength is needed to properly close the windows. If not calibrated the windows will go up and then back down because the Valet thinks it has hit an obstruction.

There is a normal and a strong setting for window up strength. Its explained in the Window Valet instruction booklet.

Does anyone else find the instruction sheet that comes with the Window Valet a bit tedious. Seems like it could have been written in a simpler way.
