Default Paint Protection Cleartastic

I recently purchased a 2001 Coupe with 11,000 miles on it.

I am going to use it as a daily driver but want to keep it nice.

I checked with my detail guy and he gets about $600 for paint protection (3m type)

I saw the cleartastic website and it looked appealing and not at all expensive. Has anyone used their product before and what were the results.

Thanks

If its not that expensive, I say try it. We have a 3M on our Z, but I need something for my FRC.

I've used it and it worked very well. It looks ok depending on how good you can smooth it down and I did lose a piece while driving. I think it was worth the money spent. I later went with the 3M clear installed by a pro.

I had the Cleartastic and sent it back. Wanted it for the wheel wells and behind the tires. Problem I had was it really showed up on M. Yellow I was surprised how much it showed up. And it really takes time to get it looking smooth. I finally put on splash guards.

I put it on one rear wheel.... it does take time to get it to lay down.... I do notice the dust around it making a "line". I did buy some long strips to put on the door sill at the body. Trying to keep scuffs and paint wear down.

Get the 3M, it is worth the $$$. Have it on my yellow 2000.
