Default Windows - Up & down

I have the 2004, Convertable.

When i press the button for the roof cubby hole the windows go down. Excellent you think. But at the other end when you want to put the roof back up, you press the button and boom your windows go down again... means you need to leave the keys in iggnition and put the windows back up again etc...

And quick simple soloution?

The Window Valet allows you to put the windows up or down with the remote.

If you are putting the top back up, the windows should be down to begin with.
And the window valet is a good thing to have.

I also own a rag top and have the same "problem". I thought about the valet but when I really thought about it, it takes 15 sec.'s to put the windows up and your in the car anyway to latch the top. Is it really that much effort that we need another "labor saving device"? Just my 2 cents.

But here's where it comes in handy for us Coupe owners. To close the hatch, you have to open a window or door. If I leave the windows down when I exit the car, I can get what I need out of the hatch, close it and then raise the windows without having to "fall" back into the car and do it with my hands full. This mod definitely outweighs the cons. Best and quickest mod you can install.

Default Window valet

Love the window valet. With it, you don't have to get back in the car to latch the top and close the windows. You just get out, put the top up, reach in and latch the drivers side, walk around and latch the passengers side, hit the lock button on your remote 3 times and walk away.

Well that's what I'm saying, in the time it takes to reach in / walk around the car, you can latch top & put windows up in less time. Don't get me wrong, to each his own & if you like the valet, great; but it just seems everyone is trying to sell you some device these days to save your time/energy when it looks like we all could expend a little more energy and slow our life down instead of trying to save seconds.
