Default Passanger side lumbar controls broken.

The other day I reached over to the passenger seat and tried out the three lumbar and side air bladders and the motor didn't do anything? Could it be a blown fuse? Bad motor? What do you suggest I test out to see where the problem is?

Thank you!

Why would the hole stop the motor from trying to pump air into it?

If its all three functions that have failed I'd think electrical rather than pneumatic. The lumbar control is on the Instrument Panel Fuseblock (passeger footwell) fuse #3.

If all have failed and the fuse is good I'd check the connector under the seat. Its easy to get to. Put a multi meter onto it and see if you have power.

The seat has 3 bladders; one for each function. Each switch pumps air into one of the bladders. Normally if one fails its a leak in that bladder. There are joints at each bladder that can leak. I did hear, however, that there is a joint upstream which can cause a leak in all three.

If necesary, you can strip out the back of the seat and check the bladders and connectors. Check out the Vette Essential website for how to strip the seat down. Some guys have done it without taking the seat out of the car.

I agree with you. I will check the fuse first since it should be the easiest. Thanks!
