Thanks guys, took it for a long ride today and liked it very much, did not have any trouble with 6sp. Here in NW PA small towns. Mostly road driving. Not that bad for comfort either I guess. Usually drive a ford HD150 [hard seats] and chevy trailblazer. so not a lot of difference.
Wife liked it also [thats a plus] Pick it tomorrow, after checks and oil change.
Now the question Ext warrenty $1651 to add 4yr 48000 mile 100 deduct. Nice to have the insurance, worth the $$$$???? Without it, 12month,12000 mile drive train only.
Thanks Roger

I personally NEVER buy extended warranties on anything. Biggest rip off in the automotive industry. I'd put the $1651 in the bank and take my chances.

To be honest, that seems like a good price for that warranty.I got a warranty for an Audi A4, that was more than that. They are also expensive to fix, and prone to electrical issues. I had a problem with my AC compressor in the vette ( no warranty) this summer, and it was $$$.I spent about half of that warranty price, and that was for only one issue. People here talk about the"vette tax" for a reason. Glad you like the car. A Z or a coupe is a really tough decision, but either way, it's a vette

Lots of opinions here on the maintenance coverage, but you made a great decision on the car. Terrific to drive. Get a cags eliminator before that stupid things gets you in trouble in traffic. If noise level is to high, you will get help here. Wash, wax and have fun. See Ya Tom

Personally, I would go with the Z, but I am a performance freak.
That price is crazy. A low mileage 2001 Z06 would go for about that...
