Unless you declare mods/upgrades on your insurance, they will only give you the market value. All three of my Vettes are on collector policies with agreed values. Same with my bikes...agreed value policies. If you have the receipts for all of the mods, you might be able to work on them for more money. They will probably only pay for the parts (no labor) at a depreciated rate. No way will they consider taxes, doc fees, etc from the original purchase.
Omar, I hope you will start this practice now that you've had a taste of insurance company policies. Good luck with the claim & live & learn my Corvette brother.
