Default Another headlight adjustment question

In trying to adjust the LH headlight to shine a bit higher I'm not having any luck. Just for one more clarification which torx screw adusts the vertical (up/down) and which one adjusts the horizontal (side/side).

I've been turning the one closest to the center of the car (not the one behind the light assembly) and it looks like the lense is moving but I see no change on the garage door.

HELP! and thanks as always. (my old C3 was a bit easier with the old sealed beams but you couldn't see any better in it either)

Turn head lights on.
Remove round plug on the side.
Just inside the cover you will see what looks like a Torx screw driver, that is the horizontal adjustment.
Further inside and lower is another Torx, this is the vertical adjustment.
Sorry I can not remember which way to turn the adjuster to raise the lights

You may want to use a 12 point socket instead of a torx screwdriver bit. As I rememer the adjustment bolts have small Torx inner inner part but the outer diamater of the adjsument bolt accepts a 12 point socket (I do not remember the size). With the Torx screwdriver it is hard to keep the bit in the hole, but with the right size 12 point socket, it is really easy to keep the wrench on the adjustment screw (plus you get more torque on the screw).

I used a 1/4 inch socket on the horizontal adjuster and it worked fine. I just need to hit the other adjuster with some WD40 tonight and try it tomorrow.

My adjusters use an E8 size socket. It looks like a "reverse" torx and the E8 socket goes over the end of the adjuster rod, not into it.
Most auto parts stores have these type socket bits nowadays. They use a standard 1/4" drive nut driver or ratchet.

you need a torx socket, not a 12 point.

Ok..........I've got 3 of th4 adjusters loosened up and even have the drivers side light adjusted. The vertical adjuster on the passenger side will not budge! I've soaked many times with wd40 and pb blaster and got nuthin.

Lookin for the desparation moves now.

Thanks in advance as always!
