Default LIGHT WIRE Location

I need to locate the headlight wire in the dash. Installing digital guages for the A&A blower and nitrous system. I have cobalts and replacing with Nordskog Digitals. They require a light wire to dim them 50% at night. Anyone privy to an easy wire to tap into to accomplish this?

You'd do better tapping off the parking light wire. You can access it from under the dash and routing it up to the a pillar is easy. If you have a service manual it should tell you which one to tap in to. If you dont' have one, PM me and I'll look it up for you.

I know this one works but I'm not sure if you want to run a wire that far if you're gonna mount your gauges on the A pillar.

We're talking about ~3-4' of wire.

are the illumination on the gauges LED or Incandescent?

I'd be tempted to take off the kick panel under the drivers side and get at one of the wires from the headlight switch

I can send you a wiring diagram if you PM me with your E Mail address. You can chose which wire to tap but I'd use the low beam circuit. Left Low is yellow, right low is tan/white

I needed one for my Pioneer AVIC N1 and I used the illumination wire behind the fog light switch.

Default Light wire.

Thanks to DEE GEE. I still can't believe no one has any idea of which wire is the right one for power to parking ans or tailights coming from the dash area. Not dash lighting that is a dimmer wire
