I hate to rain on your Halloween celebrations but in the UK we did not celebrate halloween really until the childrens program rung by the good old BBC called Blue Peter ran footage of trick or treating American style!
And encouraged our kids to follow suit!

Now certain areas of the country have 999 calls (911 to you guys) calls every 2 mins on Halloween night due to problems caused by kids throwing eggs at OAPS houses and putting fireworks through people letter boxes and generally terrorising old people ETC ETC
To give them sweets and for what witches and ghosts and gouls WTF!
What a crock of ****!

Halloween you Can stick it one of the worst Americanised crap things to come to the UK!

Your kidding right?

Halloween, is a holiday celebrated on the night of October 31. Traditional activities include trick-or-treating, Halloween festivals, bonfires, costume parties, visiting "haunted houses", carving jack-o-lanterns, and viewing horror films. Halloween originated from the Pagan festival Samhain, celebrated among the Celts of Ireland and Great Britain[citation needed]. Irish and Scottish immigrants carried versions of the tradition to North America in the nineteenth century.

No I'm afraid I am deadly serious it was on this mornings National News that the Police in some areas of the UK are expecting 999 calls as frequent every 2 mins in some areas.

I myself as a house owner have had eggs thrown at the front door on Halloween. It not a popular thing in th UK with Adults especially OAPs!

We have to buy a supply of sweets every Halloween to feed to young devils. It's not so bad when young kids like 4- 10 years old accompanied by there parents like just now as it almost 6pm in the UK!
It the teenagers with no supervision!

I can remember when I was a kid trick or treating never existed it's only in the last 20 years or so I took off because of careless progarming by the good old BBC! I'm showing my age here!

We never really celebrated Halloweens as Adults until recently again it's filtered over from the USA!

It maybe Holigans but it give them an excuse to almost legimately target vunerable OAP's

Anyway trust your kids to do things in bad taste my 19 year old son and his freinds are going to some Halloween do and they came in 3 hours ago with boiler suits they wanted to dye orange So I say why orange are you gonna be that guy from the Halloween movie?
no we are gonna be Guantanimo Bay inmates! (excuse my spelling but you know where the keep the war crimminals from the Afgannistan war!)

The best thing you can do with that ruined Vette is hang it upside down from a tree somewhere!

Sorry couldn't resist it!

Dude, you need to chill!! Just because you think you've never heard off it doesn't mean it never existed.

And yes, it has way more ties to your neck of the woods than ours.

First off, I love England and would love to live there one day, but how can you POSSIBLY blame a tv station, program or the US for the problem's with the youth of Britian on Halloween? That is absolutely ridiculous!

Hoiw about the parents of these "darlings"?? Where are they?? Why arent they telling them that egging people's property is wrong?
