I was driving down I 10 and looked at my guages. The oil pressure guage was at 80 psi. The DIC was not giving me any messages.
Everything thing seemed to be running ok. Anyone ever have this happen to them?
Sounds like a oil pressure sending unit. when these fail the gauge goes to 80 and the DIC pressure reads 125. It is located below the intake manifold, costs about 80.00 from the dealer, and takes about 4 hours (for me).
IT wont harm the engine, just keep an eye on the oil level.
it's a two hour DIY...
I am on a very slow connection at the moment or I would search for the link...
In the past week I have posted a link to a post by Vectorz....
YOu can either search for
Oil pressure sensor, rws.1 in the parent C5 directory or do the same using Vectorz in the parent C5 archives....
The intake gasket that can be reused, is this a paper type gasket or orings or a rubber type gasket? Is there a chance that if it is paper can it be ripped without you knowing it? If it is orings can an oring become misaligned and cut?
The instruction say unbolt the intake, lift and move forward 6". Is it really that easy?
I've seen the cut a hole method. Can this hole be cut with a hole saw?
