I live for wide open onramps where the posted speed limit is 70 believe it or not I have tons of fun within the posted law, and I do my best to not be the fastest car on the road

I love my 04 CE ---- I'll say this Ive owned some fast rides (01 & 03 Lightning & 03 Cobra) but nothing does what a C5 can do! The crazy thing is that the car is made from the factory as a racecar / supercar!
At the beginning of this year, I got my first speeding ticket in 39 years, it broke my almost perfect record. 44 mph in a 30 zone with everyone else going faster than me? . 14 Miles an hour over the limit. This has nothing to do with the post but I felt like venting about this.
I definately love to put the hammer down ....The car is built and needs to be ran to keep it in top running order. Least that is the way I look at it. There is a place and time and rush hour is not one of them but if you have room and not endangering anyone but you for the most part why not put the throttle open.
I'm always cruising the highyways at 15 to 25 over the posted speed limits. I've been lucky and have not had a speeding ticket in a long time.
I have a radar detector and keep a constant vigil out for the Troopers.
I am going to take my car to the track one of these days to a high speed run.
I never speed in residential or congested traffic as that is dangerous. My job takes me all over the country, so I do a lot of driving, however it is normally in rental cars.
I am a pretty spirited driver as well when I have no traffic around. DMV agree's with me in the last letter they sent me. I am not far from getting High Score!
Josh, 26. I, like most others on here, try to behave. However, I know why I bought the car and I'm sure gonna enjoy for that every once in a while (as long as I'm the only one around)

TWOSPEED you go ahead and vent man. I hear ya buddy.
I gotta a good story to share as it can fit in this topic. About 3 weeks ago I had to work that Saturday. Well everyone who drives the 405 in rush hour during the week can relate to the awful traffic is. Well this Saturday I left for work around 7:30am. I get to Cherry ( for people who know the area ) Ave. and traffic comes to a dead stop. It takes me 50 minutes to go 5 miles I shiit you not. There was an accident of course. Well, on the other side of that mess when traffic opens up again my blood pressure is probably maxing out at 280 over 190 so I just say F*#K it. I pound down on the peddle and just wind out 3rd, 4th, 5th,.... Now I'm in 5th at a pretty respectable RPM and I'm healthily in the triple digits. Then I see in my side view mirror a single headlight way way way in the distance. I said to myself " This looks very bad son". So I get on the brakes but not hard at that speed. Moments later and I mean that in a seconds kinda way next to my drivers window is a motorcycle chip. I mean the big Poncho glasses and all just looking at me. I look at him, then I look at my speedo which is just lazily passing 100 on its way to 95. I look back at him then I point my finger at my head and and fakingly pull the trigger. I motion to him and point to the side of the road and mouthed the words " Should we be pulling over?" Well he looks at me for another second or two and god as my witness he just shakes his head and speeds off into the distance. Yes my friends I have dodged a missle.... The moral of the story is don't take your anger out on the gas peddle..
On the other hand, did not put the n20 on the car to go slow, when that Mustang pulls up next to me at a light (wide open roads and cornfields here) and revs his engine a short purge usually makes the driver think twice, if the loud exhaust does not do it before then.
But then again, some just beg to get beat, so its on.
