Weird starting
I got in the car today after work to leave and the key didnt turn the car over. I had plenty of voltage, heard the fuel pump...but no starter. Tried a few times, dash would go blank and gauges would go to zero like normal, but no turning over. Didnt even hear a click.
I got out checked everything was decent under the hood, didnt have any tools so I couldnt really do much. Tried one more time and it worked fine.
Could it be the chip in the key? It is a 97 and it looks like the original one, Ive heard of them going bad.

I doubt it, it would have said, "pull key wait 10 seconds"
Pull your codes using your DIC. Do a search if you don't know how.
Then post your codes.
As always, check battery voltage, terminals for tightness.

I got a B2723 which is Pass key circuit, I looked in the book, it pretty much calls out wiring or the ignition switch itself and you replace the key on step 12 of 13. I cleared the codes and we'll see what happens.
