I don't have a coupe, but an FRC, and I can't tell if they do any good for road noise. They just keep what's in the back from coming to the front.

I can't say if partitions reduce sound. I do know that lots of forum post said to put sound absorbing material in the storage wells helps.
I loaded some towels in there to see and that helped quite a bit.

Road noise is an issue with our cars. Do a search for the Frost King mod, that would be more effective than the partition. You can always use better sound deaden material to improve it's effectiveness. If you haven't done it yet and willing to do it, loose the RF's.

I installed one and did not notice any reduction in exhaust or road noise. I did notice it changed the acoustics in the cockpit. I lost quite a bit of bass. Listening to the same song with and without and it is very noticeable. Had to turn the treble down to half way to make it sound better.

I found it to be a waist of money. Sell it to you if you are interested, send me a PM.

I don't think much of the partitions either, although mine was for a vert. Plus the vendor shipped mine with a rip in it. Add in his excuses, delays, and minor problems with insulation, and that = my only problem transaction to date.

The guy I bought it off of, on ebay, claimed it reduced exhaust and road noise 40 to 60%. I asked him how he determined this? I also told him about the loss of bass. He didn't respond well. I asked for a refund several times and finely had to post neg feedback. The same partition is for the FRC and vert..

I don't know about others, in my Vert it makes a world of difference. Last saturday we took it out to make room for a larger item. Big difference on the highway, rear tire noise was much greater than when it is installed. My wife and I really noticed it - glad the partition is back in.

Great for keeping stuff from slidiing out of reach while sitting in the cockpit, no help with the road noise.

I don't see how they could help with noise.

Hi..jm 2 cents... several people I've spoken to swear by the dynamat/fatmat insulation to reduce the road noise...& heat...
I plan on installing "fatmat" over the winter..
