Hey I went to start my C5 up again after driving it 2 hours ago and its completely dead. Lights flash on brief second and then kaput. No power. Engine wont turn over, lights wont go on, nothin. Any ideas??
I had that problem last week................it was my "Ignition cylinder" It sounds like your problem is different though. But check out my thread. Do a search on "My car will not start..........Help"
Had the same thing happen Monday. Better check that battery and FAST. My positive post came completeky out of the battery, leaked acid, and now that I got it cleaned up, I'm having HVAC issues. Probably unrelated to the acid as it wasn't there long enough to cause any real damage, but who knows.
Check that battery!
If you replace the batt (or for any reason requiring removal) it sure as he!! doesn't hurt the put the following mat under it! http://www.dccarcare.com/battery.html

Cheap Ins. for potential "ACID" leaking probs.
wow, that's an amazing coincidence...I know the guy that runs that business. he's an important person in the community of the other car in my garage. neat! sounds like a cheap insurance policy to me. I may have to buy one of those.
It more than likely your battery. You'll need a new one. Probably about $80. for a AC-Delco Pro series if you want OEM similar.
Expect all kinds of codes to have been set because of this. If you swap out the battery be sure to clear the codes, that should reset all the warnings. Low power on the PCM makes it very upset! Hope you aren't affected by column lock, low voltage will cause it to show its ugly head unless you've had it bypassed or not affected by it.
Good luck. If you need help with the DTC ask I'll post up the steps.
