As one of my Drill SGTs said as we were partying outside the barracks during the Veterns day weekend, "Don't forget to drink one for the fallen soldier that isn't here today." We stood in stunned silence for several moments. I can still vividly remember that event to this day, and I never forget to remember what the day is all about.

Thank you veterans one and all.

I too salute all who served.

I served during peace time as a medic in the USAF 1974-1978.

I am driving in a Veterans Day parade tomorrow. I hope to have the honor of driving a veteran in the parade.

I had the opportunity to talk to two WW II Marines who were on Okinawa and a Marine who is a Pearl Harbor survivor this morning at our annual Marine Corps birthday breakfast. What an honor and privilege! It was like talking to a part of American history. I could have listened to their stories all day. Happy 232nd birthday United States Marine Corps and thank you to all who have or are serving this great nation.
