Rocking seat resolved (sort of)
LINK
My passenger seat was exhibiting the rocking problem. Driver seat is fine for the time being. So, the plan was to tackle the passenger seat, learn the process and handle the driver side at a later date.
I went my local ACE h/w store and was able to find the washers in a few minutes. Bought the same OD&ID combo as recommended but couldn't find the 1/8" (.12) thickness, rather I bought twice as many of .06 thick washers. So 4 were needed for every rail.
First rail was a piece of cake. No hiccups. It probably took me 30 minutes total to get the seat out and get one side done. The next rail is where I ran into problems ... I stripped the torx 40 screw that holds the screw drive line in place. Since you don't have much room to work with in removing the screw, it really limits your options in how to deal with a stripped screw. At this point, I ran out of time for the project, so I installed the seat back in. It still tested ok. No more rocking. Not sure yet, what, if any, my gameplan will be going forward.
All and all, still a successful $1 fix.
