Pictures would be best as the descriptions on the sticky thread for C5 audio didn't clear it up for me.
I want to know where to ground the amps in the rear of the trunk. It says there is a bolt that holds down the bottom portion of the trunk and place it there...any help on that?
Also for a DVD/NAV unit I need to figure out how to tap into the Vehicle speed wire behind the cluster...any pictures or help on finding that?
That's what everyone will always post but there's so little traffic there you won't get one reply in a week. Good luck to both of us...I'm working on the car right now, in for a break.
Fair enough...it's kind of my default response as a new member
I found this thread on electrical issues: http://forums.corvetteforum.com/showthread.php?t=896875
the 1st post has a pic of where all the grounds are. I don't know if this will help at all (I didn't read very much of it).
If nothing else, its a bump for ya
My amps are right behind the bulkhead on my vert. I ran a ground to the rear seat bolt.
The only reason to connect the speed wire is so that the GPS can estimate position when it temporarily looses contact like when in a tunnel. Mine's not connected and I've never missed that feature.

Well not to be an a$$ hat...but there is a good amount of trafic over there. Itmay take more tan a few hours but a question like thiswould get answered rather quick im sure. And if the 2 of you would post in the correct section then there would be even more traffic there.

Thanks for the help above guys, #2 is what I am looking for.

Ive gotten a ton of answers to my questions of there. Anyway, wasnt tryng to be a jerk about it. Best of luck!
I missed your second question. I hooked up my VSS wire at the PCM. I'm told the wire appears behind the instrument cluster although I've never looked for it. Heres how I did it if it helps. You can see pics in the How To fit an AVIC N1 in the Tech DIY sticky.
VSS WIRE
You need to access the PCM to hook up the VSS wire. Disconnect the battery and jack up the car to access the PCM inside the passenger wheelwell. I placed the car on Rhino ramps to make it easier to jack up. (Make sure to use jackstands) Remove the passenger side wheel now. You should now be able to see the access panel to the PCM that needs to be removed. Make sure to remove the three screws underneath the car that are partially hidden from view.
Here's the PCM. You will have to lay on your back and slide under the car to see this. PCM 2 is closest to you. On the 2000 and up PCM, the vss wire is c2 pin 50 and it is a green/white wire. You can see the pin number by squeezing the end of the gray cover and releasing the clip and moving the cover to the side. I used a "direct connect" clip to splice into this wire. If you have a 1997-99 PCM, you can do a search to find the correct wire.
Or Cluster:
You will have to tap into the harness on the instrument cluster. You need to find the Green/white (A7-circuit 817) with a tan/white (A6-circuit 33) above it and a black (A8-circuit 150 ) below it..The other green/white (A10-circuit 357) oil temp has a blank and a gray on each side.
