I tape a bar of Ivory to a paint stirring stick to do the deed. I have done the WD and not had as good of results as the soap on a stick method.

I know I am reviving an old one! But my car has been chirping pretty bad recently, changed the belt about a month ago and the chirp went away for about 300 miles then it came back. I tried the soap bar method and the chirp went away for about 10 minutes then it came back even worse than before, only not at idle now. Does this mean a lubrication issue for sure? And in trying to diagnose what does this rule out? Thank you!!

Just hope it doesn't start blowing bubbles out the hood.

Seriously, hope it keeps the squeals down for a long time.
