Its happened a few times already. I come out of a gas station and someone is looking at the car, admiring it. The person then asks if the roof is dented, this is the second time this has happened. I guess its because the curve of the roof is so slight, you have to look close to see it. Any one else get the same comment?
Before I bought the car I asked the same thing. The seller explained it was the intended design of the roof and the more I studied it......the more I looked at it.......the more I appreciated the subtle beauty of the lines.
I really do love the FRC roof line. Just wish it was a removable hardtop! That would be sweet.
The C6 Z06 is a great car but lacks the distinctive look of the roof in my opinion. Just another hatchback!
When I first got mine I thought the roof had been dented. Then I noticed that it was perfectly symmetrical. It is sort of a mini-Gurney roof ala the Ford GT40 from the 60s. By the way, the Viper has the same sort of roof only more exaggerated.
Nobody has commented on the roof. I like the curves
Usual comment I hear is people asking me for the keys or if it's fast.
Every once in a while I run across someone that actually know what that Z06 badge means. They act like they're about to get down on their knees and start worshipping

Its kind of funny, after almost 4 yrs of ownership I still cannot get used to people trying to get next to me on a highway to see the car. Or when I pull into a conveince store and get compliments.
well everyone around where I live must either be incredible stuck up or have no clue what a Z06 is. The only looks I get are quick clances on the highway. They do stare quit a bit when my wife drives it. Maybe it's just then I have more time to notices the looks.
I got the same thing at the race track. The kid at the gate that makes you sign the waver (for those who are racing) was like, "Bro, you have a big azz dent on the roof". I was like, "Yes I know" , I signed the waiver and on my way I went.
I received one comment on the roof but it was a nice complement about the cars lines.
I just love when people ask me stupid questions about the car, I always play dumb and go along with it. One guy asked me why the car was making a whining sound and what was wrong with it. I just told him I didn't know and was on my way to the dealer to get it fixed.

Me neither. I am afraid I will be like the guy who had a man tell him at a convenience store that he "like his car". To which he replied, "Thanks". Then the guy says, "No, I REALLY LIKE YOUR car!", pulls out a gun, and takes it!
To the nay sayers that feel compelled to point out the dent on the roof, tell them it is not a dent, it is raised on the sides to allow room for a racing helmet.
I had a girl ask me "Can I take hot naked pictures on your car?"
I told her I'd take pics if she wanted to get naked BESIDE my car... but naked or not I would have to kill her if she got ON my car!
Years ago when I had a 69 vert with a hardtop, a honey who had the hots for me parked her a** on the hardtop. When I saw that I nearly lost it. Screamed at her to get off and then she used the side pipe cover as a step to get down. Fortunately no damage.

Too bad she was not bare footed, she would still have the scars from the burn.

A few years ago, I pulled into the parking lot of a restaurant with one of my old Jaguar XKEs. A couple of early 20's girls were hanging around outside waiting for a table, drinking beer. One chick comes up to me, says how sexy the car is and asks if she can have her friend take a picture of her laying on the hood of the car. I said, "only if you're naked." She says, "SURE!!" and starts taking her clothes off. Her big, musclebound boyfriend, who apparently was waiting inside with some of his friends, sees her stripping and comes running out, screaming at her. He's super-pissed and starts looking my way as she explains why she was stripping. I hopped in the Jag and took off, deciding that I'd probably enjoy dinner more at another restaurant, with my teeth still in my mouth.

Actually that's not true. It is a copy of a roof that was originally designed by a man in the 50s and 60s named Zagato. He used to customize new Alfa Romeos and Porsches. His roofs became known as "double humps" because of their unique design.
