Trunk Lid Inner Cover Fix??

From time to time I see a number of posts on how to secure the carpeted covers to the inside of the trunk.

Has anyone ever tried this stuff to see if it works?

I used a heavy duty velcro from Radio Shack and it worked fine. If you use that magic putty it will bond forever and cause damage if you try and remove it.

No, I haven't used it yet. I have tried the wide heavy duty velco from Lowes and the cover still drops down in warm weather.

I drilled 4 holes in the inner trunk liner and fastened it to the trunk with the push in type holders. Worked great for me.

I added some extra Styrofoam and Velcro strips as i felt there were not enough spots holding it in place. No problems so far after 2 AZ summers.

Oh , you're talking about the Z06/ FRC trunk deck....

Couldn't figure out what you all were having trouble with at first. I use the GM double head push in retainers for my leather cover panel. They work the same as GM door panels. Make a 5/16 slot in the panel and a 5/16 hole ( 6 total) to the inside of the trunk deck. Push and it stays, no sagging. GM part # 20451401. They are no visible.
