Quick battery question
I don't want to start the whole battery choice thing again,
I just have a simple question. Does anyone know when ACDelco went from leakers to non-leakers? Mine is date stamped Oct 2003. It's working fine now, just wondering if I need to worry about leaks.

I think that you are ok with the battery you have. Your profile indicates that you have 2004 and it should have a top post battery. It was the side post batteries that tended to leak. The only way that I would use a side post battery would be if it was an AGM.

It is a side post, installed by previous owner before he shipped the car to me in Jan '04.
So are ALL side post Delcos possible leakers, or just earlier ones?

From what I read if its a top post design and that date you should be OK. I've just lost all confidence in the AC Delcos.
My early AC Delco leaked. My 02 design (on the road in 03) died. At least it wasnt a messy death.
The guarantee is to buy an AGM battery which wont leak.
$150 for a battery or $$$ for a fix.
