I have a <YYYY> <C5 Model>
I was doing <whatever> and the car did <whatever>.
I ran the onboard diagnostics and the codes returned were <xxxxHC> I cleared them and ran it again and they were <xxxxHC>
The car is still doing <whatever>.
You can find sticky posts on both how to run the diagnostics and get the error codes and on what to check for traction control issues at the top of the C5 Tech section.
Still need help ==> post something like the above example and there is a good possibility that someone will come along and vector your attention to what the most likely problem is.
I have been fighting this for the last 2 months. I have done everything from changing the battery to cleaning the grounds to even changing the PCM out all to no avail I finally gave up and took it to the dealership this morning. I will let you know what they tell me when they call me at noon.
Thanks, would be interested in knowing what you find out. Did come across Corvette Doctor site last night with diag codes and some help on running diagnostics. Wrote down the codes and after clearing everything, it did it again. Checked the codes again and found the identical codes re-appeared. At least its a start to narrowing down issue.
Very common problem and someone might happen along to steer you in the right direction (or at least steer you away from checking/changing stuff that cant be causing your problem).
JSF,
I didnt forget about you the dealer said it will be tomorrow before they get it diagnosed. I dropped it off at 7am with no one in the bay they looked at it around 3. I will pm you when I find out
