I was searching around and it seems an LS6 clutch should be a great replacement to my stock clutch. Do any of our vendors carry the part or should I just hit the stealership?

Gene Culley is one of our GM vendors and should have those in stock
Do a search - Textrailia is one of the best aftermarket clutches. Doug@ECS and myself both run them in our road race cars and they have never failed us (unlike GM and other brands).

Just something to think about.
Bob
I just installed the "X" grip recently and so far so good. Only have about 1300 miles on it and no issues.
If you want a smooth engaging clutch with no worries for a nearly stock motor, go for the LS6. If you want a herky jerky, chatter laden, stiff clutch, go with the Tex. I just got rid of my Tex because my C5 was the most annoying car to drive with it in.....now, with the LS6, it's great again. Different strokes for different folks. I just wish I would have known the negatives of aftermarket clutches when I first installed the Tex.
So, if you don't NEED the capability of a high HP clutch, then I recommend you stay with OEM.

That is why I recommended the OEM one, I have the Tex Twin, but I need it to support my HP level and if he is stock the OEM one is the way to go

Tex makes several different versions. Sounds like you may have had your experiences with either the "Y" grip, or a dual disk. I'm running an "X" grip and it is NOT "herky jerky, chatter laden" or "stiff".
