Scissor Lift
Here's a pic of my Bend-Pak scissor (MD-6XP) lift and a link below to my install post.
BTW - plenty of arm-length to reach the lifting points on a C5/C6 or most other vehicles (my X5 for instance).

Chris
I use boards also to get the extra height. (2) 2'x 12" each side.
I glued and screwed them together and put wheels on the ends so they are easy to move around.
The wheels only touch when you lift up the other end of the ramp.
I installed garage door handles on the sides of the ramps again to make them easier to move..
I don't use the center wood like in the pic. I like to be able to slide jacks, a chair and , tool tray under the car.
I used paint to mark the floor ( ramps and lift ) and put rubber on the bottom of the ramps to keep them from sliding.
You can do just about ANYthing with this lift.
Just loosen the cradles and go up , the cradles stay on the floor.
Driveshaft might be a pain though.
ALSO
I can put in the back of a pick-up truck and move to a buddies house if he needs to borrow it.
Try that with a 2 or 4 post lift.
I also made a special hydraulic hose with quick-connects to make things a bit easier to move and store.

Not to dis the manufacturer, but that picture makes the welds and bar ends cuts look rough. What do you think of the quality?
